The Reality
Leicester Born.
25 Years Building Websites.
I don't play the corporate agency game. I build websites and digital tools for businesses that need clearer results, better enquiries, and direct communication.

The Reality
I've spent 25 years under the hood of the digital world. I'm a developer who values substance over style and results over agency theatre.
Leicester-born and globally seasoned, I bring a level of practical web experience that most agencies can't match. I've delivered across Southeast Asia and beyond for names like Bentley, Forbes, and O2, but I'm most at home building websites and digital systems for serious businesses wherever they operate.
I have zero patience for bloated websites that look fine in a mockup but load slowly, confuse visitors, and hide the real offer. I build leaner sites so clients keep control of their data, speed, and costs.
When you work with me, you deal directly with the person doing the work. No middle-men. No fluff. Just 25 years of experience focused on making your site easier to find, faster to load, and clearer to use.

How I Work
I build on modern, independent stacks. Most projects use Next.js for the frontend, with SQLite or PostgreSQL for data, deployed on dedicated infrastructure rather than shared platforms. The sites I build are static-first where possible, which means they load fast, cache well, and don't depend on heavy server-side processing for every page view.
I don't use WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or any drag-and-drop builder. Not because they're inherently bad for everyone, but because serious businesses need more control over their speed, their data, and their future options. When a site is built on a custom stack, the client owns the code, the hosting, and the direction. There's no platform tax, no plugin bloat, and no surprise price increases.
For internal tools and operational systems, I use a similar approach: clean interfaces, minimal dependencies, and infrastructure the client can actually understand and maintain. The goal is always the same — build something that works properly, loads quickly, and doesn't create more problems than it solves.
Every project starts with a clear conversation about what the business actually needs. Not what looks impressive in a pitch deck, but what will help the right customers find the site, understand the offer, and take the next step. That's the difference between a website that sits there and a website that works.
Ownership First
You should own your website, data, hosting, analytics, and future options instead of being trapped in an agency setup. Every site I build is yours to keep, move, or modify.
No Bloat
If something doesn't help speed, search visibility, trust, or enquiries, it doesn't belong on the website. I strip away the unnecessary weight that slows sites down and confuses visitors.
Commercially Literate
I'm not a coder for hire. I'm a practical partner who understands that a website has to support enquiries, revenue, and trust. Technical decisions are always made with commercial outcomes in mind.
Where The Experience Comes From
I started building websites in 1999, back when tables were layout tools and JavaScript meant DHTML hover effects. Over 25 years, I've worked across the full spectrum — from enterprise builds for listed companies to stripped-back lead generation sites for local trades.
The enterprise work taught me how to build reliable systems under pressure. Projects for Bentley, Forbes, and O2 meant working within large teams, strict brand guidelines, and zero tolerance for downtime. The small business work taught me something equally important: how to build fast, clear websites that actually generate enquiries without burning through a marketing budget.
Living and working across Southeast Asia for the past several years has given me a different perspective. I've built for clients in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Thailand — each market with its own expectations around trust, design, and digital maturity. That experience shapes how I approach every project: with an awareness that what works in one market doesn't always translate directly to another.
